About Tara

I am a certified massage-therapist based in Montreal. Drawing on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I blend shiatsu and acupressure to offer individuals a space in which to reconnect with their own selves and release tension and stress in the body.

I believe in the power of therapeutic touch and gentle, human presence to help individuals heal and communities prosper.

My Approach

We cannot separate ourselves from the environment around us, we are organic with the world and part of a complex system that links us all. Stored-up stress, trauma and unprocessed emotions can send this complex system into survival-mode and, over-time, can begin to manifest as chronic pain, tension or illness.

In our sessions, we work to bring energetic balance to the body and mind, by influencing Yin and Yang and the Five Elements, and facilitating the flow of vital life-force (Qi - or Ki).  As a practitioner, I approach our sessions as a facilitator of a process - one in which you are the main protagonist. The sole aim of my work is to support others in their journey towards a more integrated experience of life - one in which they can cultivate a more wholehearted connection with the world around them.

I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals experiencing the effects of displacement, such as refugees and other marginalized groups of people, and anyone searching for safety within themselves.  I believe that this practice will have a far-reaching impact on our individual and collective healing and prosperity.

As a certified massage-therapist and registered member of the Association de massothérapeutes et naturopathes au Québec (AQTN), I am committed to providing professional bodywork in a safe and respectful environment. View Policies and Code of Conduct.
